I doubt it. The public and the press and the Democratic leadership will be so worn out and worn down by the Trump saga that the universal tendency will be to normalize the landscape. With a Congress full of GOP members who owe their seats as much or more than anything to the thumper tribe, they'll start passing real crap. 

Nothing much about taxes taxes or debt or deficits or economic development or anything that a person would have grown up thinking that Republicans stood for.  But rather highly intrusive and repressive things that will deeply affect people's lives. Many of them matters that would have been presumed to have been settled. 

Trump needs to to stay in uuntil at least after the '18 mid-terms.
