Trump’s attorneys seemed pretty pissed off that there were going to be witnesses called.   Now, they could be at this for weeks - and stand to be stiffed by Trump for more than they planned for.

All trump's lawyers had to do is get through the trial to where the Senate could vote.  Instead, he accuses the House managers of lying and gives them all the opening they needed to call witnesses.  Before this is over, they will have MCarthy up to testify and it will blow this whole thing wide open.
