the piano store that took $70K to settle a $100k bill...do you think they actually lost

anything on the deal?

Re: Yes or NO?

Exactly Red, we don`t know the whole story.  A few years back the county was taking bids to clean the dredge ditch...well a whiz bang excavator dude was always the low bidder and won the jobs, during the job, which was poorly surveyed and did extreme damage to fences and too far out into fields of growing crops.  Well, in the courthouse news it seemed like every week he was asking for another $5,000 or $10,000 for the job and the supervisors gave it to him.  Well they didn`t have a spine and kept opening that f`ers bids (money under the table?) ...but had they shut him off and said "a deal is a deal....you made the bid!", he would`ve pitched a fit for sure and bad mouthed the supervisors.   So, on these deals I want both sides of the story.

Re: Blame the moderator

Head of election debates said on some talk show this morning that the moderators have no responsibility to verify or as much as ask. Up to the candidates to challenge each other. Will be interesting.

Re: Blame the moderator

whats the contingency plan if the veins in Mrs. Clinton neck pop and she goes on to wherever

a person like her goes to when they croak?

No Candy Crowley around this cycle to bend the rules and inject herself into the debate?

Mitt Romney should have called her a lardazzed liar and left the debate. Probably would have

gained him a few votes for showing that he had a set of balls.

Re: Blame the moderator

Yes ba he can handle the contractors alright. Is that why a large number are suing him for non payment?? His way of handling is to just forget about them!! And why would he not want someone to fact check the statements?? Is Hillary also objecting to it??

Re: Blame the moderator

Schurrbart, isn`t it funny that only when Trump runs for president that we hear about this?   Contractors have a `mechanics lien` I don`t know what they have to complain about, they`re on the fast track to get paid before anyone else...heck if they don`t get paid, they`ll own Trump Tower or the casino.   You get your house shingled and see how well it goes by not paying the roofing contractor, they`d own your house if it went too far.

If a contractor used 1 million feet of wire in a Trump building but tried to stiff him by charging him for 2 million feet, then the `mechanics lien` wouldn`t help them to committ highway robbery, but they would get paid what they are actually owed or they`d own Trump`s building.  If they can`t rip off Trump and hire illegal cheap workers they aren`t probably ticked off and really don`t want a guy like that in the white house who knows all their tricks.

If Trump was some how not paying them in full legally, it wouldn`t take long for word to get around and it`d get to the point Trump couldn`t hire someone to screw in a lightbulb...he`s been in business since the 1970`s and it`s just now (when he`s running for president) that the whinny babies come forward???

Re: Blame the moderator

it makes a better story to simply say that Trump ripped them off.

Re: Blame the moderator

Keep believing BA.

If you actually read anything about how things went down with those contractors you would understand how Trump works.

Even up here stories about how his legal team drags out payments until the contractor is financial destitute and can not afford to chase the money any longer so is forced to settle for something.

It has bankrupted several contractors but of course gave Trump a product and service for less than cost.

it is sad that so many of you are willing to accept tall tales.

A liitle investigation and a little critical thinking would save you from buying that swamp land.

Re: Blame the moderator

Maybe under a Trump administration the military will quit paying $400 for a hammer handle.
