Daily new cases, except for a slight peak early has been a steady uptrend, daily deaths peaked with that slight early peak and has been flat growth since then.

California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom gave President Donald Trump and his administration full credit for an effective and satisfactory response to the growing coronavirus problem in his state, according to Newsweek.

As the country deals with the spread of the virus and a continued shortage of available tests, the Trump administration has been criticized heavily by Democratic politicians and the media. Newsom, however, is pleased with how Trump has handled the crisis.

"We had a private conversation, but he said, 'We're gonna do the right thing' and 'You have my support, all of our support, logistically and otherwise,'" Newsom said Monday.

Worst news for RWingers just might be the winners actually being more liberal than they would have been in a tighter election. I’m not especially excited over the prospect of that BTW. But having won, mind you, behind a candidate who probably sits on most matters to the right of Obama and lined up more closely with W, McCain or Romney.

Looking through the charts of various states and the USA as a whole the lag between peak cases and peak deaths (using 3 day moving average) looks to be 8 days or less.  Varies some, thats what made cali interesting.

New York City alone has 20,000 Coid deaths, the Governor and Mayor are both a s sholes.   California has <6300 deaths and Newsome despite being liberal is deep down a decent fellow.

Probably nothing specific. I wouldn’t actually had to have been that good. But to have started from somewhere other than indifference and denial.

Had Dennison decidesDto have taken the reins he’d be in decent shape now heading into the election.

Of course, In the long run  history might actually show in that he was enslaved to those forces within his newly adopted party who would have only accepted it as he chose. Nonetheless, it didn’t have to turn out this way for either him or the party.

Cuomo dumped Covid patients in the nursing homes, hoarded ventilators and "boo hoo hoo Trump won`t gimmee ventilators!"  Cuomo wanted a hospital and Trump built him hospitals and let him use a big a s s  Navy hospital ship that Rachel Maddow said he was "Lyyyyyying about".  

And still Cuomo is 190% approval in the New York polls...don`t tell me there ain`t a glut of stupid people in New York.
