California has oodles of water. What they don't have is an inexhaustable supply of cheap water. They have a whole big ocean just to the left of them where they can put desalination plants to produce water for the masses.

What kind of a carbon footprint will that leave?

Practically none.  Solar heat + salt water = pure water & cheap salt.

Or people could stop living and farming in the desert. How many large farms and cities are located in the Sahara or the Gobi. And what about God's responsibility to provide water to the masses. It seems like heis missing the boat on his all powerful responsibility

I'm sure if you got the plants running it wouldn't be long before a bunch of do gooders would set in the doorways shutting them down because drawing water from the ocean is ruining the breeding grounds of some four eyed snail.

Well, I firmly believe if a conservative president had suggested that science was correct in that some of man's activities are making the weather cycle increasingly worse and that there may be a way to curtail some of the severity of the weather but cutting back on somethings that we do, you guys would be all over it saying hell yeah he's right, let's do it, etc. PS no need to try to deny it because no one but your fellow butt buddies will believe you!!
