You guys need to go back to grade school. Like I asked earlier, what about pointed sticks?

Exactly. People who want to kill will find a way. Our founding fathers new this and is why we have the second amendment.

I really like how you guys all know exactly what the FF really meant even though they never said it.  What if what they said was really what they meant?

Yes, I'm sure you are correct BUT a person is less likely to want to get up close and personal if he can't get a gun?

Re: Guns have tons more regulations than cars.

If you carried a gun and there was a accident in public, you could be sued in civil court and you could be relieved of all of your financial assets.

If your car was stolen out of your garage and a crowd of a dozen people were run over and 6 were murdered, should YOU be held legally responsible for that???  Wuhl, it sounds like you want a gunowner to have that same legal burden.

The crazy woman in Vegas didn`t have a current drivers license, so all the regulations in the world didn`t prevent the tragedy that she comitted...perhaps "trigger locks" and "smart cars" that only start for the owner of the vehicle and that has went to 16 years of car driving training and paid $49,000 in permits and licenses could`ve saved one life?

The Charlie Hebdo shooters and Paris shooters didn`t seem to have any trouble obtaining guns in France that has gun control regulations that are the American liberal`s wet dream.  And it isn`t like the Paris shooters "just crossed state lines into Wisconsin that has looser gun laws and buy one with the gunshow loophole".   No, evil always finds a way...don`t punish the good and decent. people.

How does requiring training and registration and better checking PUNISH good guys?  I know you, like a couple others think you should be allowed tohave every weapon that the nasty ol' govt has in order to protect your family from Obama but you really shouldn't!!  Just like your hatred for gays--if they get the SAME rights as you have, it is an attack on your Christian religion! Stupid sumbeech!

Re: Guns have tons more regulations than cars.

There is a gun ban list that senator Diane Feinstein has of 156 guns that she wants BANNED..if there hadn`t been republicans and the NRA in place to block that, the Democrats would`ve passed it and that boar teat Obama would`ve signed it.  All of this shootings, the damned evil people that comitted those crimes sure the hell didn`t need anymore "training" they murdered enough people without "training".  This "training" yes, that good for a concealed carry permit, no one is arguing that and a home gunowner should be familiar with his or her weapons.  But BURDENSOME regulations are just the camel nose into the tent of Diane Feinstein and Canuck`s road to BANNING guns that includes the Ruger Mini-14 which is a useful and not more dangerous than a 12 ga Pheasant shotgun...it`s called common sense.

What does the kid do about license plates and current tags and some states require inspections?

Besides, quit trying to divert the issue. The point is, and still stands, that it takes more checks and ballances to own a vehicle than own a gun. Your response should be "BFD, so what? The constitution says nothing about transportation."

Common sense has nothing to do with this!!!! (for you)

Re: Guns have tons more regulations than cars.

Hey Knapper, the county Treasurer wouldn`t care how old the owner of a car is, as long as they pay the license.  I bought a car and the plates came in the mail from the courthouse, the dealer took care of it and if we don`t have time to go to the courthouse here you can get your tags through the mail for a buck extra.  But again, if a 8 yr old kid owned a car, the Treasurer might laugh, but there`s no law agin it.  If the kid was caught driving that car on the road without a drivers license, then there`d be a problem, but just owning the car and driving on private property, nobody could say anything....as it should be.

Iowa doesn`t have inspection, but if they did, the kid could call the garage to pick the car up to inspect it...no big whoop.

I`m not diverting the issue, Schurrbart made the claim that "guns have less regulations than cars"...No they don`t guns have FAR more regulations than cars.   Okay, if you go out in town with a loaded gun and no permit...you`d end up in alot of trouble, probably go to the pen.   But, if you drove a car without a license, you`d get a fine and that`s it, you wouldn`t go to jail or anything.

And yet with all of those regulations a car still killed in Las Vegas. Time to ban cars. In fact the government needs to confiscate them for our protection.
