What is the importance of Stormy?

Trump has a history of playing around.  We all knew that.  The alleged event was years ago and both would have been grown mature (by law) citizens.  

I'm not making any comparisons to other citizens or presidents but it seems like a non event whether it happened or not.

Please explain the significance.  Seriously.

Generally speaking, IMO it is not significant if no campaign funds were involved in the payment made to her.  Whether or not Trump knew the payment was made to the porn star, and whether or not Trump knew his attorney was reimbursed, do not matter in any way.

However, it is significant to the potential financial statement of an aging porn star.  It is significant to the notoriety of a pushy lawyer.  It is significant to those still butt-hurt over the 2016 election who are perhaps using the process to require more disclosures of information while maintaining a distraction to more relevant issues.  And, it is a process that provides tidbits of what apparently qualifies as news, so we keep hearing about it, whether or not it is significant.

Ah, campaign funds. Is that what they're hanging their hats on?  I have trouble imagining Democrats concerned about ethics or morals.

Just to clarify, I am not a Republican.  And, the Democratic party includes its share of people with same/similar despicable attributes.

I think the campaign funds issue would be the only thing potentially not legal in that whole situation.  I also think it has likely already been proven that no campaign funds were used to pay her.  Beyond that, it's all a non-issue as far as most people are concerned.  The "affair" wasn't illegal.  The agreement for her to keep quiet about it was not illegal.  Her receiving payment for signing the agreement was not illegal.  Paying her for signing the agreement was not illegal if the source of the money was also not illegal.  It was a one-night stand with a porn star, 10 years before Trump was a presidential candidate, and it's obvious the "affair" doesn't matter to most "normal" people. Trump might be sometimes a disgusting dog, but we knew that before we voted for him, and elected him President in spite of that.  The best advice for the President (and his hired help) is to just say nothing more about any of this, no twitter, no answering questions from the press (no response, just move on as though the questions aren't asked).
