The only people who WON'T have to get in on the ACA are people on Medicare or already have insurance and elect to keep it and if their companies do not cancel them and force them into the exchanges. People on Medicare really are already in it because Medicare is part of the ACA. The only fly in the ointment is that congress gets to keep their govt subsidy which may change if the heat stays on BUT they have to get their health care through the exchanges just like everyone else.

All I am saying, is that it whould either be in force for everyone, from the start, or make it optional for everyone, from the start.

For example, why does McDonalds (among many corporations) get an extra year to comply with the Obamacare standards, while the individual people who work for them, do not?

I can not answer that question, although I have a couple theories.

I'm saying that congress HAS to buy insurance through the ACA just like everyone else. The people working for Mickie Ds get insurance from their employer because MD has more than 50 employees. Less than .05% of those companies with over 50 employees do not already provide healthcare for their full time employees.

Just as you, as a group , have failed to put adequate firewalls into your life, your savings, your moral backstops, so you are going to be almost totally unprepared to survive when the promises of  "big brother" turn out to just be more empty lies.

And then a replacement arrives on the scene and what do you do? Throw up every kind of obstacle imaginable to make sure the new guy doesn succeed. Do republicans meet with dems and try to work out solutions? No they let them all pile up thinking they going to win all the political battle in one swoop. The continuing resolution and the debt limit will be the big political showdown when we ca ram everything down the throats of the president and the dems.

It's laughable what you boobs spew or it would be if it wasn't so **bleep** destructive. $24 billion this last experiment in stupidity cost and you would do it again and again.

Things arent going to break down because american will rid us of the teabaggers or ignore them. America will service their debt. Only repubs would entertain the thought of default. Most americans pay the bills and their debts or try to at least. They don't suggest that a lower income is the path to debt elimination. When you advaocate for repeal of the BUsh tax cuts ,I will concede that you are serious about a balanced budget.
