I said it was fair to demand reasonable cause in the matter. Which might be easier said than done as it would be difficult to show the intent as related to a past or imminent crime.

Of course all gun dealers are ultra-conscientious superpatriots but no doubt there are lots of criminals who use the gun show and internet loopholes to obtain weapons.  Generally through intermediaries.
