Re: DEMS ADMIT FEET!

Because we have a good health care plan and it works. The Republicans are the ones who have zero clue. The new legislation is attempting to improve on it, if it can be passed. What they won't do is pass free health care for all like the rest of the world has, but we all know the ends and outs of that and the talking points - no need to go there - Democrats are bought and paid for by big med and big pharma, so all they can do is make tweaks.

Re: DEMS ADMIT FEET!

We have the Affordable Health Care act - it passed, remember? The Republicans tried a zillion times to repeal it and never did and never proposed a new plan of any sort. The new legislation is attempting to improve on coverage and med plans.

Re: DEMS ADMIT FEET!

Not all Republicans tried to defeat Obamacare. The very angry John McCain and a very tepid Paul Ryan were among those in the GOP who gaslighted the opposition to the ACA until the entire question of the legislation became moot.

Nevertheless, it is always well worth reminding folks that the Obamacare health insurance industry became immediate windfall profit machines for investors. Anyone who either dared to invest or had inside information to buy into AETNA, Cigna, UnitedHealth, Human, or Anthem in January of 2010 was rewarded with tremendous profits vis a vis the S&P 500 Index. The top 10% made out.

While everyone’s healthcare premiums, deductibles, and co-pays may have gone up slightly as their actual received medical services were “adjusted,” Washington DC’s/Wall Street’s bi-partisan investor class were all handsomely compensated for their efforts. Having John Robert’s SCOTUS seal of approval for the ACA was only icing on the individual shareholder cakes.

Ain’t that America?
