Dead still voting

snip-

Evelyn E. Burwell's family was surprised to learn she voted in the 2012 general and primary elections. They knew she was an avid voter, but she's been dead since 1997.

Burwell is one of about 6,100 deceased people still registered to vote in Nassau County, a Newsday computer analysis shows. The former Wantagh resident, who died at age 74, is also among roughly 270 people that records show voted in Nassau County after dying, a group that includes a man who voted 14 times since his death.

Re: Dead still voting

If she's been dead since 1997 why did GWB alter the records.

Re: Dead still voting

More than likely the dead are more qualified to make a logical vote than you are. People that rely on a supreme being are hardly rational. Or should they put ballot boxes om the looney bin.

Re: Dead still voting

That's one of the problems with democracy, even the nuts count as one vote.

Re: Dead still voting

How do they know she voted? Just because her name is still on the registry doesn't mean she voted.

Re: Dead still voting

Apparently this didn't happen under schub but flourished after 2008.
