Re: Democrats have a Koch problem.

I don`t know that much about the Kochs.  I do know they want amnesty for illegals just like 0bama does.  They are probably Masons.  The Left seems to hate them, which is one good mark in my book, I think they backed Mitt Romney, as did I.

But where else does a Christian, farmer, gunowner, family man go in politics?   I mean you got 2 practical choices, Republican or Democrat anywhere else and you throw your vote away...lets be honest here.  I`m not a communist or stupid so the Democrat party is out for me.  My views best match up with the Republicans, therefore my voting ballot would probably best match up with David and Charles Koch.

Good!  I'm sick of you righties always supporting things and people who do nothing but stab Americans in the back while billions of dollars leave this country every day by the 1% and potential profits for Americans leave to foreign countries.  Keystone won't do anything to help this country's energy problems while making a fortune for Canada!

The union jobs the pipeline would create is stabbing Americans in the back? Guess youi would rather support the gay killing islamist of the middle east.

Re: Democrats have a Koch problem.

Those jobs would be those non-permanent jobs that you guys worry about so much.  Once the thing is built, the permanent jobs would number in the 10s!!  If we want to put a bunch to work in short term jobs, why won't your boys approve upgrading our infrastructure.  We have hundreds, maybe 1000s of unsafe bridges in this country.  Those would be good paying jobs also but not permanent.

We're building bridges in this state every day. We have many more that will be built once they pass their environmental impact study. That takes years.

Re: Democrats have a Koch problem.

What state would that be?  So the feds are putting up the money for your state to build bridges on federal highways???

Re: Democrats have a Koch problem.

I, for one, would rather send my money to Canada, an ally, instead of to the Middle East, which more or less keeps confirming my suspicions that they really are not too concerned about our well being.

Why would you be opposed, to something that helps an ally of ours, even if we only get 'marginal' benefit?   The oil is going to flow out of Canada somewhere, why not let the US get in on the action, instead of someone with no interest in the well being of the USA?

As for the bridges, etc, whatever happened to all that stimulus money, that was supposed to go to those 'shovel ready' jobs (hint, someone suggested they might not have been as 'shovel ready' as we were led to belive).   Also, while we are on that subject, the US already collects a bunch of that fuel tax, which is supposed to go to roads and bridges, but a bunch of that money had gotten earmarked to other things.   I wonder if all the money collected in the name of roads and bridges were spent on roads and bridges, if we'd be short at all?
