Devastating news for you elcheapo
June jobs report. Up 4.8 million. Unemployment down to 11.1. You simply have GOT to get this country shut back down if you want to defeat Trump. Burn a couple of statues might help also. Remember to wear your mask this time. Over your nose too. Don't pull it down when you talk.

Watch the day traders run the Dow up this morning.
Numbers from late May early June after the “great reopening”.
And, heck, at least according to The Turtle, the new paychecks probably will soften consumer buying power as the workers won’t have as much money as they did while on the Dole.

Continuing claims basically flat the last two weeks. Tired of this winning, stalled at around 14 pct unemployment.
After thinking about USDA, I’m convinced that the “classification error” that produces better headline numbers is entirely intentional.

Hopefully the economy will take off, people will be reemployed and find prosperity. Hopefully, as some stats indicate, we're getting past covid-19 as a massive killer. Hopefully, as people enjoying their lives and finding prosperity is a very good thing.
It takes a dark nature to hope for misery.

you really have to hate your successful neighbor and/or brother in law to wish failure on them, even if it means you go down too. Or to hate an entire class of farmers like you know who.

As far as the 'rona goes I've generally been too optimistic.

Not to mention that in order for PPP payments to be forgiven, employers had to rehire employees by 6/30.
Once the funds are expended they have no obligation to keep them.

Have been picking up some evidence of that from personal sources. “We’re going back to work to do nothing because our employer had to hire us back”.
Sorta like needing a conservation plan in order to keep getting those checks. Or PQA certification to sell a pig or 2.

Word is that all this winnin' means that Mitch and his caucus are going to go chintzy on the next round of stimulus.
BTW, as far as the meme about how folks are just layin' around collecting their fat UEI checks rather than going back to work, that's generally not how it works. The employer recalls you they're going to report it because it goes against their rate history. Your benefits get pulled.
I suppose there are some folks at risk or with people in their homes at risk who are being permitted to stay on furlough. Great Idea- let's force them back to work!
