Do you think the fore fathers got anything wrong?

We seem to give the constitution special status, almost scriptural in nature.  Some folks claim that the fore fathers were christian so as to declare their work sanctified. Equating the work comparable to the divine work of the ten commandments brought down from the mount.

One could consider them political hacks all haggling for the measures that were most convenient for their own particular interests. You don't think they had unyielding tea baggers back then? Or unyielding business interests.

Obviously, we have had some amendments that indicates there must have been some imperfection in their decisions. So how much is the question?

of course. they should have used more precise language and they should not have included the ability to tax the citizenry. many think those two items indicate the intent from the start was an oppressive government.

I would imagine had the "Fore fathers"  had all the knowledge and information about how the earth and universe, was formed, and the understanding of how humans and life evolved, that we have today,  there would have been a very different situation present day,

Re: Do you think the fore fathers got anything wrong?

A constitution was inevitable and it should be but to hold the writers of it with the esteem of supernatural powers is ridiculous. The were triers at best. Basically uneducated in the writing of such a document when considering how things have changed. The inflexibility of the citizens to not want to change with history is what now makes it nearly irrelevant.

There is too much glorifying the founding fathers, mix it with an absurd belief it was done under the guidance of a mythical god and then never wanting change to a dinosaur document, says more about the people than the constitution irrelevancy.

You don't want to pay for any govt. How would propose to pay for the military, police and fire? I know you don't want any of the welfare and SS, etc so I won't even ask about that. Each person assigned to one soldier or sailor and be responsible for his pay and food, weapons etc?

They made it illegal to stone wealthy hypocrite's. You know the ones who piss and moan about the poor and downtrodden but don't do a fu*kin thing for anyone else.
