This is the most under-reported story of the new millenium.  Liberals don`t care, they figure those farmers deserved it anyway.

It could happen here, not with Negros on the war path, but the same principles of wealth redistribution.  Farmers have land and assets and as in Nox`s "cautionary tale' thread, those that have a pot to piss in are "Custer" and those that need a pot to take a piss in, are the "Sioux" .  Obama`s best speech delivery-wise was the SNAFU speech...that is because for the first time in Obama`s presidency he was really saying words that he believed...it was "Obama live and unplugged!" 

Obama got everything he wanted out of the American people, the day after the 2012 election Obama had no reason to hide his true feelings any longer. If you`ll notice in the SNAFU speech Obama said "I have no further elections to be in"...the audience cheered...and without missing a beat (he has been waiting 6 years to say this line)  Obama says back with a twinkle in his eye, he had all he could do to not stick up both middle fingers at the audience "That`s because I`ve won BOTH my elections!!!!!  ".    The "usefull idiot"  communists in the audience erupted in cheers ...that is the sound of a country dying, only a few years behind Zimbabwe.

Hey Sam, no what`s being attempted "here" is a more high tech version of land redistribution.  There may not be machete wielding savages doing the dirty work for a dictator, here the "ballot box" cuts as sharp as a knife.   The liberals can, for awhile anyway say "oh you poor man, I didn`t realize there was some negros outside your door wanting to steal your tractor".  However, the promise list in the SNAFU speech is a funnel from the "haves" to those that have but want more.

I could see a time when in a liberal Utopia where the government owns the farmland and the rent is auctioned off to the highest bidding BTO.  The rent goes into the public coffers for the "public good" and if the BTO makes a profit, he is taxed at a higher corporate rate.   I think that "cutting off one`s nose to spite the face" appeal to many liberals that have been involved in farming.  They have a petty jealously of the BTO down the road and they either figure that their own 500 acres will fly under the radar or their hatred of their neighbor is above their family`s self interest.

You evidently aren't aware of the decline in the farmer population over the last 200 years of history. Farmers have shrunk in number ever since the declaration of independents. Yes under both democrats and republicans the farm population has shrunk from the agrarian societ to mostly an urban society.

What has caused that? 2 row 4 row 6 row 12 row 16 row and 24 row equipment. Fertilizers chemicals hybrid seed corn Gmos and all the fancy dancy technological equipment.

Obama had nothing to do with the decline nor did Reagan or the Bushies. And come what may the future hold a further decline during the next century regardless of who is elected.
