I told my dear old '88 year old Mother on Wednesday morning that if nothing else we'd maybe seen the last of Li'l Abner and Daisy Mae from Dogpatch. Democrat, liberal (if it doesn't affect her too much or make her queasy) and a "go-along feminist" she told me that she essentially agreed.
I then replied that, in tune with the tenor of the campaign, if they (either or any party) are going to run a vagina for President it needs to have more surrounding it.
You couldn't necessarily tell by a glance, but the future of politics, and adjacent policy, belongs to smart, tough women. Men, with the loss of the need for excess brawn...only look at production agriculture... are soon to abdicate.
Somebody's Mom or Grandma needs to get the serious sxxx sorted out. Watch for Niki Haley to ascend in the GOP, although she might have a birther issue. Not sure. But we've got the template now for sorting that out. The new Dem Senator from California, Harris.. Media and internet can make her an instant rock star.
I like the "old broad", Anne Richards, Pat Schroeder, Barbara Jordan type. Hillary came up miles short on that scale. Warren? Probably too old for the next cycle, even if she looks 45 on the TV.
