Election postscript thoughts...
The eventual POTUS winner aside, I am thinking today of BLM, Antifa, and their mostly peaceful protests in Democratic Party dominated cities like Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, NYC, Washington DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Baltimore, Atlanta, and Philadelphia.
Every one of the above mentioned cities voted overwhelmingly last night for maintaining their own Democratic Party status quo and opposing an outsider like Donald Trump who might threaten their local status quo with his promises of bringing back law & order. Make no mistake. A vote Tuesday for Joe Biden was also a vote for big city Democrat Mayors Jacob Frey, Lori Lightfoot, Murial Bowser, Ted Wheeler, Jenny Durkin, Bill De Blasio, et al.
Perhaps many of us are looking at this all wrong. Maybe, just maybe, America’s indigenous urban communities are all satisfied with their current elected representatives and are just asking to be let alone. Everyone else has the option to either participate (i.e. live, work, visit, shop, do business, etc.) or avoid such places.
Otherwise, libertarianism is all about letting people live their own lives as they see fit.
Re: Election postscript thoughts...
Their investments in the Democratic party are so deep that they feel obligated to maintain it. Once you've bribed one official you are afraid to lose that person.
