Re: Fixed in a jiffy, don't count on it, if ....

If those Texans fix lines like they drive on snow, it'll be a month.

Seems as though your tent isn't big enough for those who live in Texas.

Not sure it is so much line problems as at generating stations that weren't sufficiently hardened for the cold. Largely different technical people required, I think.

Meanwhile, wind output is exceeding what would normally be expected (i.e., it is windy).

But never miss a chance to tell a lie when you're butthurt.

Who are you saying is "butthurt"?  There`s windmills around here and sometimes none of them are turning, sometimes half turning, sometimes the brakes are on.  There`s a lot of reasons, if they have ice to turn the extra weight might structurally harm the tower...dozens of reason.  If lines are down and juice shut off, why generate dangerous electricity with no where to go?   Those guys know what they`re doing, a guy on his lap top isn`t walking in their insulated boots, isn`t inches away from 6,000 volts in the cold and wind.

I talked to a guy that has one on his farm north of Lafayette IN  He said they DO NOT turn them on unless somebody PRE PAYS for the electricity generated.
