Emmet Sullivan.....Forest Gump?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmet_G._Sullivan

the guy sounds like Gump, just about every notable political case of the last decade, from Hillary's emails, to Flynn, Sullivan shows up in.

Anyone think he has a bone to pick with President Trump over tarnishing the "legacy" of the big zero?

Deep state judge.

Looks more and more like he doesn't believe in the rule of law. He believes in the rule of dems.

Mr. Sullivan's quotes about Flynn would indicate some bias.

Guy definitely has a dog in the hunt against the general.

He's not worried about up holding the rule of law because he's a dem. And we all know what kind of hypocrites they are when it come to the rule of law. Everything they do is lost to hypocrisy. It's because everything they do and say is based on lies.

A lot of black people voted for the big O because of skin color. Isn't that basing a decision on skin color? Isn't that wrong? Can a black judge be trusted in the matter?

Amicus brief from 16 Watergate prosecutors.

Although I guess that's where this all began- a witch hunt against That Fine Man.

Re: Emmet Sullivan.....Forest Gump?

“Holding up”?

Please explain. Do you mean holding up for people to look at, or holding up in terms of time rather than coming down post haste with a summary judgement in favor of one side or the other.

Hopefully he’ll hold up until the DOJ agrees to thoroughly explain and attempt to justify it’s position.  They sent nothing of that sort along with the request other than what is becoming the norm, a brief abstraction from the AG.

Dennison can clear this all up by simply pardoning the guy. And then campaign on having done it.

Where the H was Roy Cohn when He needed him and instead had to enlist all of these rank amateurs?

H ow many times has it been said here that it’s Dems, libs, profs....whatever who make everything about race.

I’ve never seen an image of this Sullivan person. First I knew of him being a colored feller was just now when one of these glorified Klansmen here pointed it out.

you know, you can educate yourself ....you don't need huffpo or politico etc.

Notable cases[edit]

Sullivan presided over a number of habeas corpus petitions in the early 21st century submitted on behalf of men detained by the United States military at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp as part of President George W. Bush's response to the 9/11 attacks of terrorism.[4]

Sullivan presided over the 2008 trial of U.S. Senator Ted Stevens, who was convicted of seven felony ethics violations in October. During the trial, the judge refused requests by the defense for a mistrial to be declared, after information was revealed that the prosecution had withheld exculpatory Brady material.[5][6] Eight days after the guilty verdict, Stevens narrowly lost his reelection bid.[7] As more evidence of prosecutorial misconduct became known in early 2009, Judge Sullivan held four prosecutors in civil contempt of court.[8] On April 1, 2009, following a Justice Department probe that found additional evidence of prosecutorial misconduct, the Department of Justice recommended that Stevens' conviction be dismissed.[9] On April 7, 2009, Sullivan set aside the conviction and appointed a lawyer to investigate the prosecution team for criminal contempt.[10] Subsequently, one of the four prosecutors held in contempt committed suicide.[11] Ultimately, Sullivan dismissed the civil contempt charges,[12] and no additional charges were brought against the prosecutors.[13]

In 2014, Sullivan was presiding over a case, Judicial Watch v. IRS,[14] related to an ongoing investigation into the 2013 IRS controversy. There was an attempt to determine where the deleted emails of former IRS employee Lois Lerner had gone, what damage to her computer hard drive occurred, and what steps the IRS had taken to recover the information contained in the emails and on the hard drive.[15][16]

In 2015 Sullivan presided over a FOIA lawsuit involving the matter of Hillary Clinton's private email use while Secretary of State.[17]

I doubt that anyone on this forum knew Sullivan was black until I did the basic simple google here. Found a lot of interesting stuff, too. Did you pick up the "colored" adjective from Bill Clinton tapes?
