FLA math
Let's extrapolate the missing data and say the 7dma for daily cases is 10k, up 4X in 2 weeks.
Deaths at 36 is around 1.3% of reported cases 3 weeks prior.
No reason to think that cases won't be above 30k/day in 2 weeks and 400 deaths/day in 5 weeks. You can pre-empt a surge with vaccinaton but you can't stop it once it is rolling. Only public health measures can do that.
Speaking of somebody who badly needs to grow a pair- in the real world- not the fever dreams of RW drones.
Kinzinger said that when he sought office he always believed he might have to take a career ending position out of principle someday. DeSantis- don't make me laugh.

Re: FLA math
That is DeSantis' position.
And the well vaccinated Murdochs and their FOX crew.

Re: FLA math
You can do public health measures SD style.
That's where so many people get sick and die that the remainder just sorta do the rest on their own.

Re: Take a look at SD's latest cases, ...
Take a look at new cases in SD and it doesn't look like they learned very much. It looks like the Delta variant skipped over Iowa (maybe) and spread directly into SD & ND.

Re: 30 K per day in two weeks?
Florida's new cases were over 27,000 on 7/24 and they haven't reported cases or deaths since then. No reason to believe that new cases aren't already running well above 30 K.

There is practical truth there, but you don't understand what that truth is or how it actually applies to the situation.

Re: Take a look at SD's latest cases, ...
Folks there musta learned something, though. Pretty decent vaccination rate.
BTW, saw what appeared to be some pretty robust data on the current situation.
In a place with 50% vaccinated rate, hospitalizations were about 10% vaccinated. I don’t think there was enough time for death data but you’d assume that will also show benefit.
Cue the terrorists “see”.
Which makes no sense but why waste time with militant idiots.

Speaking of the “yay death” crowd.
