Re: Favorite Civil War statue
Another lie. There is much on the web about the KKK being invented by the Democratic Party - and it all shuts your statement of fact down.
Like your PINO, you guys say stuff that you think might slip by, and someone might then believe, because they read it somewhere. All lies, all part of a propaganda machine working overtime, and without bounds, that’s to one Donald J Trump, the master of lies and deceit. Your Master - and it’s all good according to you guys....

Re: Favorite Civil War statue
The start of the KKK is why you have to burn all of the history books. My family fought for the north to free your slaves and then then in return your KKK burned a cross in the yard of my dad.

My KKK? Really. You must be confusing me, with someone else. I sure as hell don’t belong to the KKK. I didn’t burn a cross in your dads yard.

I’ve not heard of any history book burning parties. My guess, is this was something more simply made up by your group, to get people angry. You’ve mentioned this book burning numerous times - it must be rampant here in the US. Funny how I missed it somehow.

Re: Favorite Civil War statue
As I’ve often acknowledged, the northern iteration of the KKK in the ‘20s- heavy in IN- was primarily a nativist movement with Catholic immigration a particular focus.
Thats why I’ve never understood “catholic conservatives” being militant nativists.

Re: Favorite Civil War statue
On the bizzarroworld narrative of the post 60s party realignment- the Dems were the party of the urban, heavily immigrant catholic political machines. Which were pretty corrupt.
The coalition with the southern segregationists is one of the odder couples in history.
Although the segregationists became Republicans, as did many Catholics as they made it in the world and moved out to the burbs.
