Another Trump promise - broken.
I heard Trump say that the shootings in Chicago would stop the day he took office. As he was saying it, I brought it to this site many times, since I’m sure you don’t remember.
He promised that along with the new roads, bridges, and airports and repairing the decaying ones. He promised health care we would all pay a fraction for when my he got elected. He promised to complete a wall that Mexico was going to pay for ( have you checked to see how that little project is coming? No - I’m sure you haven’t. I have - suggest you do it yourself). And on and on.
Promises made - promises broken. And somehow you STILL think this conman who won’t even show his taxes, is the right man to fix America. This man is destroying America, right before your eyes. Everything Trump touches, dies....

Re: Favorite Civil War statue
When those formerly dependably democratic ethnics decamped for the suburbs they became Reagan Republicans.
BTW, I've always said that I give some leniency to racist leanings among my contemporaries- white and black- who lived through the tumultuous time of forced desegregation- it was tough.
I don't really see where rural white guys like me have much excuse, though.
The truant officer would occasionally round up some Mexican migrant kids in the fall and make then sit in class until they could escape to another camp and get back to helping their families not starve. But wasn't a real big deal.

So the disaster that is our cities is the fault of the black people that stayed there not the democrats that run the show? And you call other people racist.
