Awesome concept of birthright based on location. If your cow crosses the fence (for any reason what so ever) and 5 minutes later delivers it's calf on my side, you'd agree that the calf is mine correct?
Doesn't matter who owned the cow, it's about geographical location.
Same with every knocked up Mexican or Chinese woman. It matters not that they are loyal to their home country and will raise their child to be loyal to their home country and even raise that child in their home country and only use America to their advantage screwing our children out of their way of life. Who cares about our kids American dream? Or that we've been working and paying for the system?
What matters is where the foreign lady's vagina was geographically located at the time the kid's head pushed through, having never been associated with the country or stated allegiance to the country previously and possibly only having arived moments prior.
If this is such the absolute determination of citizenship, then babies born to mother's of US citizen traveling abroad for whatever reason (work, pleasure, service of the US government, or missionary) should not be considered US citizens...it's the almighty location, damned the parents and their citizenship. And even taking this idiocy to it's ultimate conclusion, one would have to suggest that the child should remain in that country being a citizen of that country and not a citizen of the parents. And unless the country allows the parent to gain citizenship or long term visa type status, the child and parent will be separated.
What actually makes the most sense is that the child is given the citizenship of the parents, no matter where the mother is located at the time of birth of the child. But that requires looking at the situation with logic and not tender feelers after watching some made for TV Hallmark card propaganda infomercial.
