RUSH: I have to tell you, folks, President Trump just hit a grand-slam home run at the United Nations.

In everything he touched on and everything he spoke about, he had… I never thought I would ever see this! He looked ’em right in the eye, and he told ’em why socialism and communism are abject failures every time they’ve been tried, everywhere they are. He looked ’em right in the eye and told them everything.

You know what did not come up? Not one word, not one syllable, not one reference to climate change or global warming at the United Nations in the speech by President Trump.

Too bad he had to lie and tell half truths and brag about things so that the fools who follow him would be proud!!! You really should fact check him sometime instead of taking Jim at his word!!!

Elcheapo, I listened to rush for years until he was no longer in the Indianapolis market. Every thing you just said NEVER happened. EVER. In all of the years I listened to him. He even had his centenarian grand father on a couple of times for his birthday. He grew up on a farm and spoke lovingly about it. I fear once again you bear false witness which to me is very sad because you know better.

Mr Trump, who begins his political rallies with boasts about his economic record, used the same rhetoric before the crowd of world leaders and diplomats, telling them he had accomplished more than almost any previous US president.

"In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country," he said.

The remark led to some murmuring and laughter in the crowd, taking the president slightly aback. "So true," he said, looking directly into the audience.

I suggest it is not often that the audience in the UN General Assembly laugh.

Trump graciously handled the hecklers and finished with a nice round of applause.

Anyone that actually listened would have been proud of an American president standing up for Americans.
