Focus is on containment. What? Quarantine no longer considered containment?
People worried they may have been exposed to the coronavirus no longer need to endure a 14-day quarantine in Sacramento County, according to health officials.
The Sacramento County Department of Public Health announced Monday it has moved past trying to contain the virus and is now hoping to mitigate its impact as new cases are reported. Placer and Yolo counties also announced they are shifting strategies in stopping the spread of COVID-19.
Re: Forget quarantine
Same here. No coronovirus suspects, but nursing homes on lockdown, even the senior independent living apartments. On the other hand, with only essential people allowed in, if there is an outbreak, it should be traceable to the medical staff, care staff, food services, cleaning or delivery people -- if they aren't careful, they've just created the possibility of numerous potential lawsuits if they DO have an outbreak of the virus, possibly even criminal charges for the person or persons who bring in the virus, especially if they knew they were ill.
