I just admired Leiberman's willingness to buck his own party and even walk away from them on occasion.  He has always appeared to be an honorable man.

I don't think either party has a lock on dignity or leadership.  The dems have been more open about their dislike of all things american.  Yet, we gotta admit Repubs have been largely an embarassment recently, from Bush's Homeland security and "no child left behind" to the circus of candidates this year.

The approval rating for washington is what it is for a reasons I don't need to show.

I just want someone with a backbone and a little integrity.  Someone who might not use every department of government to promote his world vision, demonize nonunion employers, or promote their version of the gospel.  

I think we would all jump to support a tough, honorable candidate without political liabilities or big money.  

Ron Paul is doing as well as he is because of the dissatisfaction of the voting public for the political parties.

I am in the thick of it here in Iowa, and have no clue as to how it will turn out.  Bad weather will not be a factor in the turnout.  A lot of college kids are planning to come back to Iowa early and caucus for Ron Paul.  Some of those negative ads are starting to backfire and some of them are sticking.  Heck, some of those ads could be used by the left next fall.  One thing for sure, the eventual winner will be wearing skin as tough as nails by this summer when he/she goes against Mr. "Lounge around in the Hawaiian sun on the tax payer's dime" next fall.

The one thing that the GOP has going for them, is the fact that they are running against the worst president this nation has ever had to endure.

I think that it is already too late for America and it will be "every man for himself" as the train runs off the track and into the jagged rocks below.

GTO, you call Ron Paul a white supremacist and use alternet to try and back up your claim???   Isn't that like having a Repub claim Obama was an illegal president because he was not born here and then use a link to Beck or Rush to try and prove their point? 

If you know Paul to be a white supremacist then please give us some real evidence other then something he supposedly wrote decades ago.   Paul has served in Congress for 24 years so surely he must have shown some hint of racism during that time.   Paul served 4 years as a flight surgeon in the Air Force and Air National Guard for 5 years.  If he is a white supremacist I would think you could find more then a couple of black men Paul must have treated poorly and with disrespect.  

Paul worked as an obstetrician in the 60's and 70's delivering more then 4000 babies.   I'm guessing there must be more then a few black parents he treated poorly during that black time.    Where are they?   Truth is Paul often lower his fees or worked for free for people with little money. 

Don't you think some of these black people treated poorly by the white supremacist Paul would come forward now that he is a presidential candidate like the women from Bill Clinton's and Herman Cain's past have done?   Don't you think operatives working for Paul's competing candidates would be looking hard for these people to discredit him?   I have seen black Congressmen and associates that have worked with Paul over the years publicly say that he is not a racist.    Yet all we hear is a few white folks like you that keep claiming Paul is racist.   I just don't think that dog is going to hunt.

I didn't need Alternet to prove he is a White Supremacist, CNN proved it beyond a doubt! He quit in the middle of an interview! For chrissakes! Even the Newtser says he's everything he's been accused of, and that he would never vote for him. Just enjoyed watching the Newtster on Hardball say it!
