Gen. Chuck Yeager is 96 today
"How do you live to be 120? First, make it to 119 then be real careful"
"It's generally not the flying, its the landing"
Re: Also 96...And then no more
A few years ago my wife's grandfather was in failing health at 95.
She was struggling over not being present so we arrived at the compromise that she'd take long weekends and fly home every month.
While I was wondering how the heck long this was going to go on I checked the actuarial tables.
A 95 year old man has a life expectancy of about 7 months, which includes those who make it to 100 and beyond.. He beat that by a couple.
