Re: Genuine Billionaire smells rat

I would wager that the liberal faithful are doing their share of

drinking these days, too. Really got to wonder what stratusphere

Boris is hanging out in if he hasn't got the Trump vibe in southern

MN.....

Bruce, do you want a list of Obama voters that I personally know

that are putting Trump bumperstickers on?

MN is going to vote Democrat....95% certain of that, but if you take

out Hennpinn and Ramsey counties, like Tice of the Star Tribune

pointed out, its another pretty solid Red State.

Re: Genuine Billionaire smells rat

Interesting. I've spent a considerable amount of time over the past few weeks "in town ", as it were. Mankato and Fairmont particularilly and I haven't seen one. There is a BTO on the current 169 detour route with a big sign inmates the end of his driveway from his little rural McMansion. And in most places I frequent people are avoiding discussing politics like the plague.

I have said it here before, and I still believe it to be true, that the Zionist "Mr. Big People Control via Government Establishment", will assassinate a major candidate before Selection Day.

Mark my words.

Most people will avoid talking about politics, in your company, because they know your views are contrary to theirs, at this point in time.

Re: Genuine Billionaire smells rat

Not what I meant at all. I was referring to observing general conversation.  Not necessarily any that I am involved in.  When  that does happen, however, I get the impression that I am seen as, and am at times accused of, not being a proper Democrat. Minnesota Democrat protocol usually consists of nominations and offices being handed out like gold watches for time served.  I can't recall being around a bigger bunch of boring and unimaginative people than I've been surrounded by at the numerous Minn State conventions I've attended.  Bernie winning the caucuses here really rattled the insiders. "What we're all of those common folks thinking?".

I'm still open to the possibility that they could slip a 10Xer into El Donaldo's viagra bottle.

Re: Genuine Billionaire smells rat

An aside re: Cuban.

We watch Sharktank occasionally- actually watched The Apprentice some for a season until they started all the reality show backstory crappola. It was moderately interesting when the teams just had to attempt a task- Donald was just sort of a distration that came with it.

But anyway, Cuban is no doubt a very smart guy who hit the jackpot by selling Broadcast.com to Yahoo at the height of the bubble for a $B or something. In the end it proved to be a near total loss for Yahoo but he cashed out, and here's where he proved very smart- he demanded cash instead of stock (I'll pay the taxes, thank you), which was the currency of deals back then. If he had waited a year or if he'd taken stock he might be quite rich but we'd never have heard of him.

Similar for shark Kevin O'Leary (the Canadian Trump) who sold an educational software company to Mattel for huge money and it darn near wrecked Mattel. There were some attempts to go back against him for failure to report material matters but in the end he kept the money.

It isn't that hard for any pretty good businessman to keep rolling it up once he has a huge stake, is a name, etc.

Anyway, I'm sure they are both very smart guys. But there are 100,000 just as smart and 10,000 who could have pulled the same deals if they'd been in the right placer at the right time- that mostly being in the rare time where somebody with a lot of money is looking to buy a pig in a poke.

Re: Genuine Billionaire smells rat

Real smart people are not the "gamers", but the ones that invent or create something very useful out of whole cloth.

For example, my brother is perfecting an X-Ray device that uses no tubes and is the same size as a smart phone.  A lot like "Bones" McCoy's examining device in Star Trek. That is what real smart people do. (Due to pending patents, I cannot say any more about how it works)

Because I Enjoy driving a bus. I do what I enjoy doing. Always have.

I want to operate a tourist train as well, and I will probably do that too. If I stop enjoying doing something, then I stop doing that. It is that simple.
