Re: Glen Beck

Tritriagain, i would suggest you tritriagain watching him.  I once talked to a man who heard that he (Beck) used the "f" word that he used the "N" word all false accusations.   Beleive me if he was twisting facts or stating untruths the administration would have him up on ethic, libel, and slander charges so fast your head would spin.  The reason they havent't pulled him off the air is they have nothing to put on him.  Dont' you think they would if they could?  I suggest you listen to him and see if he is perverting MLK for yourself.  Listen to his niece when she's on Beck's show.

If his crowd was driven by fear, you could of fooled me.  No police in riot gear, no arrests, no signs, over 500,000 by some estimates and no trouble...yup fear fueled hatred.  I suggest you take your opinions and tritriagain to base them in fact.

Otherwise you can't be taken seriously.  Oh and by the way you sound like a hatemonger to me.

Re: Glen Beck

I'm guessing black people don't attend because they don't agree with what the baggers are putting forward.

However, MLK's daughter is a black sheep ofthe family ( pun intended) as she is politically at odds with the rest of the King family. I suppose they recruited her to try to give the meeting a degree of credibility.

Re: Glen Beck

Mr Kraft, what are the baggers putting forward that blacks find so offensive? What do the baggers have to do to change the minds of the blacks to get them to approve of them?

Re: Glen Beck

When Beck claims that you godly types want to take you country back, just who are you taking it away from?  Do you think the people that hold power now are not worthy of the power?  I think they were elected by the majority and deserve the opportunity to lead until 5their term expires.

Me thinks you want to make war between the godly right against the unworthy left.

Re: Glen Beck

Is there not already enough legislation on the books to help everyone out? I mean we have programs on top of programs to help people out.

Re: Glen Beck

The Tea Party wants to take the country back from the people that kicked God out of the public square and ran up a 13 trillion dollar debt. Doesn't matter what party they belong to.

Re: Glen Beck

Hi 3020, good to see you.

(re TP attracting blacks) I think a first step the TP needs is to police their own.  Stopping racial slurs against the prez would be a good start.  In fact I bet they could win the hearts and minds of a lot of libertarians b&w, since they seem to be more closely aligned in thinking with them than the republicans, by reaching out in that direction a little more agressively.

(re TP wants to take country back) Just when was God in the public square?  We all have the right to observe religion in our own way.  Saying God was in the public square implies we were all to follow one particular religion at one time.  Not so.  As far as running up a trillion dollar debt.  Yep it is done.  Now what, hang the bastards that did it?  I don't think that will make it go away. I had to laugh this morning when one of the talking heads said "look at this huge peacetime debt".  We have been pumping trillions into wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Who pays for those wars.  We all do.  Who caused this massive break in the economy and resulting debt?  Not the prez.  Not the dems.  It was the reps that undid Glass Steagal in 1999 with the Grahm Leach Baily Act sent to president Clinton with a veto proof vote..  And the reps had help, from the terrorists that shook our economic center to the point it has yet to fully recover (and caused us to pump money into chasing them down and heightening our defenses.)  Get a grip.

Re: Glen Beck

Well first of all southwest, the Tea Party do not throw racial slurs at the President. Yeah, there may be a few bad apples but who is to say they are not plants? Of all of the tea parties that have involved millions of people there has yet to be an arrest for disturbance of the peace. The tea party does have the support of the independence and probably many of the libertarians. I don't see how any one calling them self a libertarian could support the current administration.

God was in the public square when I was a kid and the 10 commandments were hanging on the wall of our public school. He was in the public square when we could put a Nativity scene on the courthouse square. He was in the public square when we could say a prayer before the high school football game and when the senors were have a graduation ceremony.

Yes the wars were expensive in both money but mostly the cost of our country's finest. We did not ask for this war but it was started by the terrorist decades ago when they were at war with us but we refused to believe we would have to go to war with them. The twin towers, the worst attack in this nations history, opened our eyes as to the danger they represented. The war has cost less than the banking industry bailout. Which BTW was made much worse by the community reinvestment act. Without it Glass Steagall would be irrelevant.

The dems ran in 06 on a platform of fiscal responsibility and ending the culture of corruption. They have failed miserably. The tea party are getting a grip, they are not out support repubs, they are out to reset this country to what the founding father envisioned, freedom. Freedom from and over bearing government.
