I bet the younger players that haven't received guaranteed contracts really wish that the older fruitloops would put a sock in their mouths. That's the ones that understand the concept of delayed gratification , of course. The high school players getting dismissed for behaving like fruitloops probably don't care, of course.

Jeremy Linn?  Red mentioned Hispanics. Would be tough to think of the NBA over the past decade without the Gasol Brothers. Or Manu Ginobili? Ricky Rubio?

Can you imagine a Chinese mother suggesting her son go out and pound his head with a considerable chance of concussions?  I don't think so.

Upper class white mothers - the same.  Women put a lot of investment into raising sons and are not eager to see them bash their heads in unless that is the only way for them  to get ahead.  Whites and Asians can work in an office with a suit and don't need to box, play middle linebacker or wrestle for upward social mobility.
