Re: Good point but no - just Trump

One small part, of a very deep hole that Trump is protecting with everything he has.   Doesn’t matter.  Not showing the returns will dog him everyday he is in office.

Much like your famous “It’s just the damn flu!” statement.   Is it BA?  Is it “just the damn flu!” like you said?  I don’t think so, and the quarter of a million corpses by Election Day, and counting, will say it’s not also....

Another “ just know “ by you cult, that wasn’t so.....

Rates and amount paid have nothing to do with what is being sought by the call for release.

As for them, Dennison himself says that he is under perpetual audit. Which I tend to believe.

Re: Good point but no - just Trump

99.99% of the people that would see Trump's personal tax returns would have absolutely NO IDEA what they are looking at.

People have a better chance of dying from the virus or getting struck by lightning than they would in understanding Trump's tax returns.

The 1040 is the 1040.   There no doubt is a lot of forms that go into that final form, but I still think a lot of people who know something about taxes would know what they were looking at.

Re: Good point but no - just Trump

The NYT group that got an old set (from Mary Trump, it turns out) was able to find a lot of interesting stuff.

As far as one possible biggie, it would still just show X amount of interest to DB- not if they are brokered loans with someone else underwriting them. The fact that they came through the Private Wealth division (and partly used to pay off delinquent loans from the Commercial division) raises eyebrows.

Which is why you'd do it that way.

DB said they'd cooperate fully on the taxes if it gets through the courts but that still doesn't get you the loan documents.

Re: Good point but no - just Trump

Saw a poll somewhere where a significant portion of the suckers who voted for Dennison in '16 actually thought he was going to release his taxes "just as soon as the audit was done."

Although that's why it requires heavy duty deprogramming once people fall into the sway of a cult. A lot of people believed Jim Jones when he said there'd be pizza after the before dinner cocktails.

Katy Porter would. Probably in a heartbeat.
