Re: Merged?

It is not my scale. I'm not sure I have a so called scale. Read some posts on this web site and you will see so called liberals accused of being Nazis and Communists not only in the same thread, but in the same post. Just ask Craig, he will tell you they are both. As far as socialism, we have lots of that. I think most governments pretty much have a mix of "isms."

As for the classification you asked me to make, I'd call it too little, too slow and not good enough. I'd go with a single payer universal system. I never claimed happiness with what we have now or will have soon.

You make a lot of assumptions, don't you? AT least you more or less ask instead of tell. I like that.

Far be it for me to ba a conspiracy theorist (rotflmao) but if there is any sense to this and where it is coming from it would probably be a matter that Hillary is seen as friendlier to Israel.

Don't know why Obama is (in my view, and in the view of a lot of US Jews, correctly) pushing for a two state settlement but I'm guessing that even if he is sincere he knows his limits.

Only bits I ever see or hear about Hillary are from the right, out of some sort of presumption of buyers remorse (granted there is some..considerable most likely) that brings her in as the default alternative. Haven't heard the first Dem figure or pundit say a word about it. Unless there was something about it in Carveille's latest rant, but then he's a big time DINO, just like his old boss. Much relieved that Hillary is proving not to be. Wish she was back in the Senate...she was very good at that...although Gillebrand seems to be very good also.

One of Obama's failings has been in not making her POS husband into the Ambassador to the North Pole or Lethoso. With her in we'd only be annoyed with that much more of him.

If The President were to resign, or die or be impeached....whatever...on the next day we'd have the guy in office who was my first choice among the serious contenders in the nomination field (Kuccincih was 1st, but a stretch to refer to hm as seriously having had a chance).

PSST: In a Milligan like "you heard it here first" flash, if we can hold the republic together for another 25 years Joe Biden's son Beau will likely be President some day.

Bruce, if Beau Biden ever becomes president of these United States, I will personally drive up to Saint James and buy you and your wife dinner and a cold one at the Hickory Inn.

You folks would be better off in running Nancy Pelosi.  She is meaner than a barracuda and harder to get rid off than a box full of bed bugs.

Re: Merged?

Yes the Socratic method doesn't hurt feelings, but I think it dishonest. By your scale, I did not mean one you came up with, I meant the one you are familiar with.

care to return to arguing over whether the right or left is the more compromising?

No about 38% would vote for Clinton and 10% are not decided.  But what is important is no matter who the Dem nominee is 95% of the Dems will vote for that person rather than a repub.

Re: Here is how the libs get rid of Obama.

Yeah, Sam, it sorta does.Near as I see no matter how long or hard the depression is, no matter if a regional conflict breaks out in the Middle East and Central Asia, or if the whole danged international banking system collapses and has to be rebuilt/recaptialized from scratch or not at all and we go back to payin' the doctor with eggs and vegetables our democratic system is likely to survive.

We'll be voting for a long, long time and the day could well come where one party hold the White House, The House and a filibuster proof majority in the Senate. And I'd rather it be one of those than the other.

You seem to somehow or other prefer and find hope in anarchy. Good luck with it if it comes to that.
