hang 'im

APB for HIVs, remember Don Seigelman who Karl Rove "neutralized?"
Whether it is a good law or not, Perry clearly broke the law. Getting an indictment was a slam dunk and a conviction is only a matter of where the trial gets venued and who gets ;ucky with jury selection.
As far as the chattering classes go, it is like banksters going to jail. For people who spend their lives looking for scraps from the bigwigs' tables, hard to imagine them walking the yard. Too close to home.

Re: hang 'im
BTW, when Perry was first elected Texas Ag Commissioner, his manager was Rove and they won a close election after a (possibly) politically orchestrated prosecution against Jim Hightower.
Probably can't get Rove yet (he doesn't show up for grand jury subpoena's anyway, since he is above the law) but it would be nice to see Gov. Goodhair locked up with some Salvadoran bangers.
Also BTW, and mostly unrelated, any of you HIVs know where Cheney's VP papers are?

Perry vetoed a spending bill and gave his reason why. No different than the federal government withholding school funding to any school that doesn't serve a menue approved by Michelle Obama.

Always tough walking the tightrope between libertarianism and fascism.
On this occasion I think you did the splits on the wire and landed on your nuts.

Re: Face the Nation agrees
I don't care what the pundits say left or right. While there is all kinds of negotiations going on in the political arena, a governor cannot coerce the resignation of a duly elected public official. Would you tolerate President Obama requiring the resignation of John Boehnor as a prerequisite to funding the congress.? Veto the bill as you must but the public intimidation is not OK.
I suppose it would be ok for Boehnor to threaten to defund Obamacare if the president refused to resign. That is why it is called abuse of power.

Explain how it is different than the department of education withholding school funding if the school does not serve a meal to student that meets the requirement handed down by Michelle Obama. How does it differ from the department of transportation withholding highway funding if the state does not issue a seatbelt law requirement that meets the standard set by the federal government?
