Guess we are. Here it is last half of January and I still have not had to clear any snow. Most years I have been out half a dozen times or more before end of December and this aft was the first day I was able to go to the woodlot and it still is not frozen very much but have a light cover of snow to help keep things clean.
Last year I did not clear any snow until January 7
Not cold enough to freeze ice for a rink. Used to make one for our kids and for our grandchildren when they were young but no chance to keep ice long enough to make it worth while in recent years.
From woodlot I can see snowmobile trail through neighbours and I see the club has not even put up signs this year.
Last year they never road on trail at all
2 years ago it was open for 1 day
3 years ago they had the trail open for a week or 10 days and it was so bad many sleds opted to cross our land illegally to find a little snow instead of the mud on the trail.
Something is changing and I accept what science says
