Hey Dagwood
Maybe its nothing, but tonite on that after midnight show on WHO they had a guest who was talking about Curry (indian food) and its help in curing several types of cancer, including pancreatic. He said taken along side certain chemo drugs it improved prognosis by 100%. Might be worth a re-listening...it was in the first half hour. Or else look up the guest and follow Google to whatever he's selling.
Good luck!

Re: Hey Dagwood
Thanks for tip Jim. I'm wondering if they were referring to tumeric which has long been a staple spice in India and has been shown to have positive effects helping to ward off and fight cancers.
I'm just now starting my third book dealing with diet and cancer and learning about all kinds of foods that help fight cancer. I am convinced more then ever that our modern diet in America has a lot to do with our increasing incidences of cancer. Not only are we eating to much bad foods such refined sugar but we are eating less of the good foods these days. Part of it I blame on our hurry up life styles where we want something quick to eat so we eat more junk food and processed and canned foods.
In talking with the herbalist / holistic nutritionist yesterday I learned he believes that dairy products are not very healthy for us. Part of his thinking is that the dairy industry along with our meat industry uses way to many antibiotics and other drugs to help boost their bottom line.
He also claims that raw milk is better but the government discourages it. He believes when they pasteurize it it becomes a much less healthy product. I told him as a kid we had a single milk cow to provide milk for our large family but we would always take it the house and pasteurize before drinking.

That sounds right...I was working on equipment when I heard it, so I missed parts of it.

No doubt. We make valiant attempts to improve, but sooner rather than later we slide back into our routines and comfort foods.

What he believes about pasteurization may well be true, but it has saved many more lives than it has taken...and thats the goal of our health care system. For instance, my wife and I are certain that immunizations played a large role in our daughter becoming autistic, and I've talked to enough other autistic parents to see the connection, whether or not science decides to share it with us. That said, I'm still all for immunizing our children. Even if our daughter is a victim of it, enough good is done by it to greatly overshadow a few cases of autism. Don't get me wrong...if there's a way to stop it while continuing immunizations...great.
