Re: High water mark of the Tea Party
Dag - I accept responsibility for everything I have said and stand by it. Mollie is a brain surgery in progress and Sarah Palin is there because of her attractiveness to the media. Her only claim to fame is she holds the moose skinning championship of Alaska and castrates racoons on weekends. I will be proven to be correct at your next election in respect to her. The democrats are salivating like rabid dogs to get at her. Bring her on.

Re: High water mark of the Tea Party
With our repub gov. we have a waiting period of about 5 minutes depending on how slow the sales clerk writes and a 1 minute phone call to see if there are any outstanding warrants against you. Anyone over 18 can buy just about any weapon he/she wants and anyone over 21 can carry that gun concealed with NO training nor fee. They can carry that weapon into a bar if the bar will allow it. They just have to promise not to drink. haha If it is concealed, who knows. I asked at Bass Pro what it takes to buy a handgun. I was told I had to fill out a short questionnaire, have a valid AZ driver's license and the money and allow the clerk to escort me to the door. I asked "REALLY"? He said "Yeah, we're a little wild westy out here." There is NO waiting period. Period!

Re: High water mark of the Tea Party
Bart, sounds like you are suggesting that your state's lack of gun purchasing waiting laws are all the fault of your current Repub governor??? I assume that means she has vetoed such laws or actively campaigned against them.
In 2006 Democrat Janet Napolitano was handily reelected as your state's governor. Could you please show me a link that shows where she pushed for more stricter gun laws or for a waiting period as I have been unable to find anything in a Google search?
Gough, I prefer both parties to put forth their best possible candidates. For that reason I hope Palin does not get the Repub nomination.

Re: High water mark of the Tea Party
She'll get a bunch closer to getting it than you'd hope dag. And in the process create a mask that whomever it is that wins will have to wear. She's the face of the party now, for a good long while.
Remindful of those, speaking of Arizona, press conference clips featuring then Cardinals and ex-Vikings Coach Denny Green:
"They are who we thought they were."

Re: High water mark of the Tea Party
Dagwood does it make any difference whether its the repub or dem argument , If the law is as Bart says who in hexx would travel to that state. It could have been your family out side that market when nut who purchased a gun with no background check went nuts , like the clerk said we're a little wild westy down , boy can you say that. I'm not much for gun control but the way this country has become there has to be a limit on who can purchase guns.

Re: High water mark of the Tea Party
Hobby, I agree they need do better back ground checks and am even in favor of a waiting period. I was simply replying to Bart's implying that the lack of any such laws was the fault of the current Repub governor when it appears the Dem gov before her did nothing in this regard.
