History
Statues of war criminals like Wade Hampton and NBF should only be displayed in museums with a full, curated narrative account- including the politics of the period that led to statues of war criminals being erected.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, generic confederate soldiers like Silent Sam should maybe stay up.
But as a representation of the generic butternut there should be signage to say that he was probably too poor to own slaves, illiterate and malnourished and was likely conscripted to serve the interest of the 3 pct who did and would be shot or hanged by Home Guards if he tried to desert.
