How about Buddy Roemer?

He did a short appearence on Dylan Rattigan today and I think he deserves a c-note from those of us that like the underdog. He will only take a Hundred bucks so i might be his largest donor.

Remer, Rattigan and Bernie Sanders are pushing for eliminating corporate political donations. Corps are not people. Not until they volunteer for service in the armed forces or Texas executes one. At the very least they ought to pay taxes to support the military.

Just watched it as we record Ratigan daily. Real deal. No idea how he can get into the limelight but there is no question that if everybody who actually cares could see that segment he'd take off. Not being able to get into the debates hurts him but the debates so far have been such a cluster###k that maybe it wouldn't. Sure would like for him to get into one.

I like that line Don.  You need to make bumper stickers as I think they would sell well.

Re: How about Buddy Roemer?

Do they pay fica taxes on their earnings like you and I do? Do they volunteer to serve in the military?

Re:Everyone should hear these exchanges.

Thank you kindly for the links, Bruce. These exchanges present the case so much better than I.

Re: How about Buddy Roemer?

How about we eliminate government subsidies for politicians and eliminate union contributions too.  Lets make the politicians pay the same rate for advertising on TV as everybody else.  Lets eliminate all Internet donations as you can't really tell if they are coming from Americans or even if they aren't just the same source with a different name.  Let's limit any contribution to any candidate to $200.  Let's limit the use of tax dollars that an incumbent uses to make speeches, if they want to talk to the Farm Bureau or the NEA they have to pay for the complete travel expense, that means security too.

Maybe that would make elections a lot more fair and a lot less corrupt.
