I believe my post went off on a tangent. Regarding inheritance, it keeps the rich, rich.

Inheritance taxes are not designed for the stated purpose of breaking up dynasties or helping the government or giving others an equal chance.

Inheritance taxes pure a simple are designed to keep you and yours from getting rich and to let the rich stay on top.

You’ve gotta parse that out for us. The tax rules re: inheritance are quite well spelled out in Code.   

What’s somebody getting away with that you might not be able to in your circumstances. 

Your family isn’t that proverbial one farm that the taxation hawks keep looking for is it?
