on my idle speculation if we'd do 100K cases in a day before the election. Today would be the only day, I imagine, since yesterday "only" went 91K and Sat., Sun., Mon are usually a little light on reporting.
My over/under from a couple of weeks ago turned out to be an easy bet- lucky for the house there were no takers.
Probably be later next week before we break 100K. We'll also see about my even more random speculation that we see a big catch up in death certifications in red states after the election.
BTW, The Fed is out of meaningful ammo unless they want to further expand their threat to directly intervene in the stock market. And that's just a tourniquet- it slows the bleeding but doesn't do anything for the wound.
I assume that if we're regularly laying down numbers well into the 100ks in a few weeks, the entire Fed financial bubble will collapse- with some collateral damage on things like farm prices as well.
Congress and The Fed got rolled into blowing $Ts when the Executive wasn't serious about the parallel public health effort. And all we got for it was an election that might be close enough to steal.
