I don't think you guys even know why
You hate unions! Elaborate if you will.
Do they make prices too high?
Do you feel equally bad when a CEO gets a raise or a huge bonus?
Do you want working folks to be serfs or peasants?
Do you prefer to have the oppressed without a living wage or health care benefits or retirement pensions?
Make me understand.

Unions are fine as long as membership is voluntary. And as long as those who sign contracts for their labor are the ones responsible for signing their pay check.

There are some Pros & more than some Cons to unions but since you just requested the cons here are a few that come to mind.
--Strikes
--Being called a SCAB, berated, & worse if you cross a picket line with the intent of doing the the job you were hired to do.
--Can't terminate bad employees.
--Mandatory Union dues.
--Millions spent on political contributions.
--Forced higher wages that has made some companies unprofitable and forced to shut down - which leaves employees with no job.

Re: I don't think you guys even know why
Union membership like shareholder membership is voluntary. You can quit your job or sell your stock. No one is captive to the will of the majority.
A unions job is to negotiate in the interest of the employees. Managements job is to negotiate in the interest of the share holders. 3020 has no dog in that hunt, nor should he care one way or the other.
As a farmer I would think you would favor the interests of the folks that are your customers. Instead some folks have the idea that labor should accept the terms of the employer no matter what they are.

Re: I don't think you guys even know why
You don't like strikes? Why? How about layoffs are they ok?
Do you beleive in freedom of speech? How about all the insults passed around on this site? Are they ok?
Yes they can terminate bad employees if they have just cause. Can employees terminate a bad member of the management team?
Mandatory union dues. Do you think non contributing employees should share the benefits of negotiation? Like tax payers wanting the benefits but not the responsibility of paying for it.
Millions spent on political contributions. Management never does that do they?
Forced higher wages is not an argument. Management always signs a labor contract and agrees to the terms. If they don't there is no contract. You mean you don't like tough negotiations? Well neither do the working stiffs. People wouldn't be working for minimum wage if employers would lift them up without being forced to.

Re: I don't think you guys even know why
Well I have no problem with unions in most cases, but it seems that if they go long enough they get crooked like Jimmy Hoffa. Look at GM, the union demanded too much and the legacy costs killed the company.....Okay, great you force a company into unreasonable demands, that`s good...however, you can`t have free trade and make those companies compete with foreign labor that have 1/10th the wage, no bennefits no environmental protections or OHSA safety. See, that killed GM and the taxpayers had to come in and bailout the unsustainable pension plans.
I also don`t like how union dues go to Democrats and members are under undue influence to support the Democrat candidate. See how long you can have a Republican lawn sign up in a union neighborhood before your house is fire bombed and you end up in the hospital.

If you`re talking to me..
There is no shortage of very very very rich people supporting Democrats.

See, maybe us 10 cent millionaires support Republicans, but those real rich basterds like facebooks and Googles and Apples and Instagrams that are out to totally destroy American are solely Democrat contributors.

HA if ONLY !
Mark Zuckerberg is facing the wrath of some liberals angry his political group indirectly bankrolled ads praising two senators for their support of the Keystone XL oil pipeline. Liberal frustration over the ads seem amplified by a feeling of betrayal.
Their response is summed up best by a ThinkProgress story headlined "Mark Zuckerberg’s New Political Group Spending Big On Ads Supporting Keystone XL and Oil Drilling" and a petition entitled "FWD.us: Stop Running Ads Supporting Fossil Fuels."

Re: I don't think you guys even know why
Do you know anyone that has had their house firebombed because they had a republican yardsign> Not likely. However some one took my Hillary clinton sign down on my lawn in Renwick Iowa. Hardly the bastion of liberals in a rural Iowa town.
