Re: I hope WAR is right

In Iowa they say the abortionist, greedy Younkers CEO, tax increasing, gun grabbing, Hubbell is going to beat Kim Reynolds.  The last time we had a Democrat governor things went sideways and we had a lot of weird social spending.  I can't understand how people can look at their neighbor, Illinois which is run by Democrats and think, "yea, that's what we want."

Our state has been okay except for taxes which are too high.  Hubbell wants to increase them more, he like every politician always says only the rich will get an increase but history shows that to be false.

Not only that but he want's to reduce our freedoms, another typical Democrat.  Why can't people just leave things alone?  Why do they always think government is going to make things better?

It's government that reduces freedom, it's government that increases the cost of goods and services, it's government that causes a high percentage of social problems by treating people as groups rather than as individuals.

Re: I hope WAR is right

I`m cautious optimistic, with little "tells" as Root points out.   It seems that Trump`s crowds are much larger compared to 2016.  Also you add in that today it`s dangerous to addend a Trump rally, some Democrat Antifa nut might key your car, stab you in the back or at the very least throw a ziplock bag of urine at you.  In 2016, I think many in the Trump rallies were "I`m just here to see what it`s all about, I`m really voting for Marko Rubio", now that you have to run the gauntlet to attend, it`s only for the very stout hearted.

All the crazy liberals running around, going nuts, I think their vote is always "baked in" like Nox has always voted a straight Dem ticket since he regretted his GW Bush vote all those years ago.  The Nox`s of the world would sign up for a "lifetime Democrat vote" were it available, in which his vote would forever counted "Democrat" right down to dogcatcher for the rest of his life.

The "Doc`s" and "Dawgwuds" if anyone recalls those 2 old posters that voted Obama but "leaned Republican" and regretted that vote are literally extinct these days (R.I.P Dagwud).   But the few Dagwuds left, do decide the elections.

It does appear that there isn`t a "lack of enthusiasm " on the GOP side, which is good.   I`ve heard that these days a "liberal is born every 8 seconds and a conservative dies every 16 seconds" however socialism fails and anyone smart sees that "Socialist says who you gonna believe? Me? or your lying eyes?".   Kids these days are far from stupid, I have confidence they will come around soon...sooner than the 1960s hippies that didn`t have internet.

We will get the government that we deserve and at 10pm tonight we will probably have an idea of what the next 2 years holds.   God help us all!

Re: I hope WAR is right

What a wonderful day to go vote! Rain, wind and cold. Only those that really care will venture out.

Re: I hope WAR is right

The good thing about being a democrat is that you can keep on voting after you die.
