Florida has over 17,000 in hospital, ICU's at 102% capacity because they wouldn't get vaccinated or wear a mask.  New York has 1800 hospitalized, with plenty of vaccinated staff & beds.

 I'll take that chance.

I would have had them protect the vulnerable.  Coumo, witmer et al quite intentionally spread it to the most vulnerable.  They like you wanted it to be a bad as possible dor strictly political reasons.

At 55,429, Texas has already passed NY in the number of deaths by 1000 and pulling away every day.  Florida, with 200-300 dying a day will undoubtedly catch up and pass NY before it's over, that's if we don't find out that DeSantis has deliberately uncounted Florida Covid deaths.

  As for "political purposes", I can't think of any more egregious "political" purpose than DeSantis & Abbotts' pandering on the mask issue, or one that has contributed so directly to Covid mortality in their states.
