I've always said 38-39 presidential approval polling,

in the 538 aggregate of Fake Polls- about a year out from the election- would portend an electoral catastrophe for the GOP and trigger a panic.

Thus far the real centers of power have gotten the majority of what they want and thus tolerate the Reality Show.

The aforementioned number remains flat lined around 42 with an occasional blip to 43 and one dip under 40.

I don't see it as all that likely to happen in that time frame unless something comes out of left field, and if it occurred within 6 months of the election it would be a lot harder to switch horses and regroup.

I won't speculate as to what that panic might portend if it occurred.

Hard to run against Santa Claus, how you see this picture is if you`re on offense or defense, those enjoying the meal or those stuck with the tab.

It’s always hard to tell if you are more concerned with taxes or trying to figure out how to make money so you have to pay some.

Well, if you vote for one of the hand raisers it will be harder to make money.

High property taxes are the next best thing to confiscation, in the liberal mindset.
