Picture speaks for itself and it is not my responsibility to stop unwanted pregnancies. That is the responsibility of each and every person who might cause or become pregnant.

The Christian Taliban
Gave us the Blue Laws, designed to enforce religious standards, particularly the observance of Sunday as a day of worship or rest, and a restriction on Sunday shopping. Most have been repealed, have been declared unconstitutional,

Way to go, 20, you ducked that with the finesse of a hammer. You and all of you know with out the abortion issue the right will be "severely hamstrung", in any national election. Gotta, keep it front and center.

Re: Actually a Christian theocracy..
Just remember.... when the media says anything, just say to yourself, "It is a big fat lie!"
Is that like the George, lying us into a war with a sovereign country, to avenge "his daddy"?
When it comes to lies, Craigo, the right has a strangle hold on that category.

Yes. Can I deduct donations to investment bankers or to global warming groups? Can i build an local organization advocating for those things and a huge edifice that is real estate tax free with free police and fire protection.
You don't even recognise the governmental subsidies your religion is getting. Let them pay their share like every other business that is trying to extract money from the general public.

Re: The Christian Taliban
I won't be surprised when it becomes illegal to close shop on Sunday. I won't be surprised when Christmas is not an accepted national holiday. I won't agree with either but it wouldn't surprise me to see those ideas proposed.
To use the term Taliban when associated with Christians is insulting. Blue laws that were repealed and the Catholics belief that eating fish on Friday is what a good Catholic does (that's one of the examples Kraft gave) are in no way comparable to some of the more infamous ways of the Taliban.

Re: The Christian Taliban
When Christians impose their beliefs on others and use their religion for suppression of basic human right (the KKK) and murder of those different from themselves (KKK, Puritans, the Roman Catholic Church).
It was Christians who burned the library in Alexandria and who spurned all the scientific and other knowledge which was collected there because they didn't believe people should read the Bible.
You should really study what some Christians have done in the name of their savior Jesus Christ.

Yes you can! One of the biggest global-warming opponents is GreenPeace. Here is a quote straight from their Yahoo link:
Make a tax-deductible donation; Gift and estate planning; Greenpeace worldwide; Learn more. Global warming; Oceans; Forests; Toxics; Nuclear; Sustainable Agriculturewww.greenpeace.org -
You can also make tax-deductable donations into an IRA, which goes straight to Wall Street, and/or investment banks
Can i build an local organization advocating for those things and a huge edifice that is real estate tax free with free police and fire protection.
Well, GE has some pretty big office buildings, and since they jumped on the Global Warming bandwagon, they got some pretty good tax breaks. Want to venture to guess how much corporate income tax they paid, on something like 5 billion dollars in profits (wich included in round numbers something like 2 billion in subsidies, taxpayer funded)? Granted, they probably pay property tax on it, but I really doubt it is more than the 2 billion in taxpayer subsidies they got.
You don't even recognise the governmental subsidies your religion is getting.
Now, stop making things up again. I recognize perfectly well that the Church is getting all sorts of tax breaks, and donations are tax deductable. I'm just pointing out that there are plenty of other special interests (that some take as religion) that also get tax breaks, as well. On top of that, many get government subsidies paid for by the taxpayer. Our church gets no such benefit.
Let them pay their share like every other business that is trying to extract money from the general public.
I belive my church pays exactly the same amount of income tax, as GE does. The church makes more or less zero profit, while GE made a few billion. Our church got no direct taxpayer money that I know of, GE got a couple billion. From what I see, if one of them is not paying thei 'fair share' I wouldn't be the church.
Any other questions?

Re: The Christian Taliban
I don't remember the KKK being a Christian movement. In fact, they hated the Catholic church. They also would occasionally bomb a church so calling them Christian is flat out wrong. You pretty much can live your life any way you choose in this country regardless of religious concerns.
