what does the cop do in this case?

the people seem to wait till the cop is there to turn it up on the fight.  girl with the knife attacks the other girl while the cop is there.  does the cop let the knife welding girl kill the other or does he do what he did?

He was not under attack himself.

Well, the right thing to do is to save the girl's life that is being attacked; with the new biden, harris, waters rules, as I police officer I wouldn't know at this point.

Although this does seem somewhat setupish - as to sacrifice one to get $26 million for the others?

If anyone has watched the animated movie The Incredibles, you probably see some parallels between the fictional movie and what is transpiring in real life.

Not sure when and how it ends, but at some point sanity will return, and we will look back at these days and recognize who the idiots were.

Well, there are already protests, don't know what will happen to the cop.    Staying in the car might have been a good idea, the volume is about to be turned up.

A woman off-screen then said: "Did he just say 'blue lives matter?' Boy, shut the f*** up because blue lives don't matter right now. I don't want to hear none of that dumb s***."

"A Black teenage girl named Ma’Khia Bryant was killed because a police officer immediately decided to shoot her multiple times in order to break up a knife fight. Demand accountability.   Fight for justice. #BlackLivesMatter.

Re: It appears that Columbus police have a problem.

In early December, a Franklin County deputy shot and killed Casey Goodsen Jr, 23 (unarmed) at the entrance of his own home in case of mistaken identity within seconds of arriving.  Two weeks later, Andre Hill (unarmed) was gunned down within seconds as he emerged from a house after delivering Christmas money.  The officer has been charged with felony murder.  And now this, where the officer gets out of his vehicle, shouts once, and shoots this girl four times.  They are saying that she tried to stab two people but notice, she didn't actually stab either person.

For it to happen once is a tragedy,  twice is Police Dept management criminal incompetence but three times is clear evidence of complete systemic failure.
