If you believe that God has a plan

and every event in the universe has God's hand print on it, Then you most assuredly must give him the credit and the blame for everything that goes on in the universe.

So all wonderous blessing and those  horrid afflictions cast upon humanity is the product of that kind and loving GOD. Those aborted children must be included within his plan as is the rape of the woman. If he didn't want them to happen, they wouldn't.

Man sinned against God and fell from His Grace. He sent His Son for our redemption, all we have to do is accept His gift of pardon. If we believe in His Son and accept His gift of pardon all adversity in this life will be forgotten in the next.

Re: If you believe that God has a plan

Read the book of Job...particularly the first 2 chapters. It will probably bring about more questions than it answers....but it does clear up the idea a little about why do bad things happen to good people. Satan roams around like a lion looking for those that he can destroy,(ruin their faith).

Come on!

That all powerful benevolent God can eliminate the devil in an instant but even God has the right to choose.

It would appear that plenty of people can also have their faith destroyed by good fortune.

Don't know if a truer statement was ever made.

Re: Come on!

I could go into a deep theological explanation of why God does not intervene, but I doubt you want to hear it. Suffice it to say that God does not have authority on earth unless you give it to Him. On the day when Christ comes again, and defeats Satan then authority of the earth will be returned to God.

Re: Come on!

Don't forget, there are plenty of people, who do not want the Devil eradicated.

If we want God's grace, we can enter his 'house', but you must enter through the door he opens for you..

Too many people, ignore God's directions, like someone trying to enter by pushing on a door marked 'pull', and then blaming the owner of the house for not letting you in.

Re: Come on!

Why doesn't God defeat Satan now and save us a lot of tribulation?
