Re: IgnoRant defense

Did his debt go up?

At this stage one might call it "infrastructure"

Re: IgnoRant defense

Farmer Joe makes $100K over and above his cost of production. He buys the farm next to him and adds significantly to his debt. Smart farmer or dumb farmer?

You can point to thousands of farmers that invested in the future without being debt free at the time of purchase. They are called millionaires today.  And then you have those that do not invest. They are the guys in the coffee shops and the tavern that think they are crazy for paying $1k or $2K or $5K for prime iowa farm land. Those guys will never own any farms and especially not $10k or $14 k farms.

Your group should never be elected. They fail to analyze what are good investments for the future while trying to fight yesterdays wars and wasting trillions while they are at it. You don't think government works and when elected you are out to prove it. Case in point all the republicans that prefer that Obama care fails.

that would be known as "unfunded mandates" and would not be an "investment" but rather a burden that future generations will be saddled with....unless thy`re on the dole too.  But the golden goose croaks one day too, if expected to lay too many golden eggs.

Re: IgnoRant defense

Sorry Don but the "brag" was the deficit is down. The "dig" was that the debt was up. The "counter" was the debt wasn't up as much because of a lower deficit.

But in reality, it doesn't matter if it was budgeted debt or deficit debt, the loan still has to be aquired, and that is what the "dig" was about. You can't brag about cutting budget deficits when all you have done is is raised the debt by the same or more amount.

That's why it's an IgnoRant

Re: IgnoRant defense

Unfunded mandates is a misnomer. They are funded by the revenues paid in. SS with a 2 trillion surplus is not an unfunded mandate. Just like the farm you bought could have been called an unfunded mandate but in reality you knew where the funds were going to come from. On the other hand the military has been running deficits for decades and your refusal to tax to fund those excesses make the military and unfunded mandate.  Secondly, cutting taxes when you have trillions in debt is shear lunacy and after they build even high deficits they still want to limit revenues to the treasury.

You weren't one bit concerned about deficits and  debt until the Knee grow took over and your behavior since then has been dispicable. You would rather see Obama fai,l that have america succeed! A Pox on you guys!

BTW do you have the cash to buy another 80 acres cash out right. If not that would be an unfunded mandate!
