They know that the actual facts and figures won't back up their claims so they have to throw up the smoke screens and try to change the facts. That is good for their true believers because it doesn't matter what is said, the faithful will believe it and take it to the bank.
But rang true to the true believers. I know all sorts of people who think that the Leman bombshell, the ensuing crash and TARP came during the Obama administration. And as the guy says here, that the stock market, which has essentially doubled, is in the deep tank since GWB.
