Is a mere reference to a movie "racist"?
Apparently this hulabloo over Roseanne was she compared Valerie Jarret to the Planet of the Apes and that is "raaaaaacist!". Okay, so the movie Planet of the Apes is racist, so why was the movie series ever made then if we have to tip toe around the subject? I hear people from the south being compared to the movie Deliverance all the time "squeal like a pig" "yer mouth is sure pretty" well???? hello? Double standard!
And don`t the smart atheist liberals say that "we allll came from apes"? So why is this a touchy subject at all? Is Valerie Jarret self conscience that she perhaps resembles a simian? I don`t think she does, but it sure must be a sore spot with many.

BA quit trying to be ignorant and look up what the actual Tweet was.
Then if you do not see the racist intent behind it then you are probably racist too.

So did you evolve from apes or did you not evolve from apes?

Why would you start that again?
You throw out these comments that are not true but make you feel better about your false belief in some magical being that 'created' you.
Educate yourself and if you do not already know it, humans and other apes and monkeys evolved from a common ancestor a long time ago just as you are a result of ancestors that lived in what is now Africa.

Re: Is a mere reference to a movie "racist"?
Well, you`re a good "democrat" aren`t you Canuck? You believe Hillary should be president because of the popular vote, right? So how about we settle this democratically? We`ll not fire or cancel Roseanne and let her say whatever the hell she wants and let the ratings decide. Then with the Caponick and the rest of the NFL cry babies, let them kneel, squat or wipe their butt with the American flag, I don`t care, I`m not watching anyway. But let the fans decide how much they`ll put up with.
Sounds fair to me.

Re: Is a mere reference to a movie "racist"?
That is a fair question 3020...we alllll came from apes and little monkeys are cute and smart. If being compared to a ape is seen as a insult, those offended must feel like it might partially be true? If someone calls me "fat" I might cry, because I could stand to lose a few pounds. But if someone teases me for being "too skinny" I can listen to that all day, because no one ever says that about me 🙂
